AZERBAIJAN, MAURITANIA SIGN TWO DOCUMENTS
Baku, April 9 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan and Mauritania have today signed two documents including a Memorandum of Understanding on cultural cooperation and a Protocol on cooperation between the two countries` foreign ministries.
The documents were signed by Azerbaijani foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov and his Mauritanian counterpart Mrs. Naha Mint Ould Mouknass.
Prior to the signing ceremony, the two ministers had a conversation, during which Mrs. Ould Mouknass praised the current state of Azerbaijan-Mauritania relationship.
She said the two countries had great potential to develop bilateral cooperation in all spheres.
Mammadyarov, in turn, said Azerbaijan and Mauritania should demonstrate the same position on various issues within international organizations.
He added Mauritania, basing on the principles of international law should support Azerbaijan`s stance on the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
Mammadyarov also pointed out Azerbaijan and Mauritania enjoy great opportunities to boost bilateral cooperation in economic, cultural, humanitarian, education and healthcare areas.
