Iran's police to crack down on hooliganism
TEHRAN, April 28 (MNA) – Tehran police chief Hossein Sajedinia announced that the police would implement a special plan just ahead of the summer to improve the national security.
“Police has adopted a new approach to address social issues and will implement the plan before the summer,” the general said on Tuesday.
The plan is not only aimed to deal with the lax observance of the Islamic dress code, but police will take firm action against hooliganism, drug dealing, addiction, mugging, robbery, and harassment, he explained.
He also said the police have a special plan for preserving security in parks and will deploy more police forces in recreation facilities.
On the social discipline plan, he said the plan is being implemented by the traffic police to improve driving habits.
