Students to protest U.S. nuclear threat against Iran
TEHRAN, May 3 (MNA) -- Iranian students plan to hold a rally outside the United Nations office in Tehran to protest the new U.S. nuclear doctrine which has left open the option to use nuclear weapons against Iran.
The university students from across the country will be gathering outside the UN office in Tehran on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
In the new Nuclear Posture Review (NPR) issued by the Pentagon on April 8, the option to use nuclear weapons against Iran was kept open, even though it is not a nuclear weapons state.
In a speech on April 21, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei denounced the United States’ nuclear threat against Iran, calling it a dark stain on the U.S. government’s reputation.
