Iran, Australia to expand economic ties
TEHRAN, May 3 (MNA) – Iranian Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari and Australian Ambassador to Tehran Marc Innes-Brown discussed economic ties here on Sunday.
During the meeting the two officials reviewed the possible ways of boosting the bilateral trade cooperation.
Iran has exported some $46 million worth of goods to Australia and imported some $202 million worth of goods during the previous Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2009-March 20, 2010).
Liquid propane, carpet, pistachio, liquid butane, and dates were the main exported items while wheat, Aluminum oxide, steel and iron products, as well as car spare parts were the major imported items.
