New IRGC navy commander appointed
TEHRAN, May 4 (MNA) – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has appointed Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi as the new commander of the IRGC naval force.
Ayatollah Khamenei, in a decree issued on Monday, called Fadavi’s wealth of experience, valuable services and pertinent qualifications the reasons behind his appointment.
Heretofore, Rear Admiral Morteza Saffari had commanded the naval force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps.
The Leader also extended thanks to Saffari for his efforts during his tenure as the IRGC navy commander.
