Rise in Iran's crude steel production
TEHRAN, May 9 (MNA) – Iran's crude steel production in the first month of the Iranian calendar year of 1389 (March 21 to April 20) exceeded 1.01 million tons, showing a 5 percent increase compared to the same period in the last year.
According to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), 65.8 thousand tons of the product worth $34.5 million was exported during this month, which was 14 percent more than the same period in the last year.
Steel products manufactured in this month hit nearly 942.5 tons which was 23 percent more than the same period in the year before, the IMIDRO report stated.
