Iran's Iron ore production increases
TEHRAN, May 12 (MNA) – Iran's iron ore production in the calendar month of Farvardin (March 21 to April 20) hit 2.1 million tons, up 22 percent compared to the same month a year ago.
According to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), iron ore exports from Iran to other countries in the mentioned month amounted to 382,417 tons, worth some $31 million.
The exports were 49 percent and 82 percent more in terms of weight and value respectively compared to the same period in the last year.
