List of attendees at G15 foreign ministers meeting

TEHRAN, May 15 (MNA) – The G15 foreign ministers’ meeting was convened today in Tehran with the participation of 7 foreign ministers, one industry minister, two deputy foreign ministers, one representative, and five ambassadors.

Sri Lankan Foreign Minister G.L. Peiris, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro, Algerian Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci, Zimbabwean Foreign Minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, Brazilian Foreign Minister Celso Amorim, Senegalese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Madicke Niang, Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed have taken part in the event.

Deputy foreign ministers of Indonesia and Egypt, as well as Chilean president’s special envoy were among other participants at the meeting.

Indian ambassador to Geneva, Kenyan ambassadors to Geneva and Tehran, Nigerian and Mexican ambassadors to Tehran were also present at the gathering.

Argentina’s permanent representative to Geneva along with its chargé d'affaires to Tehran were also among the guests.

The Group of 15 is a group of 18 developing countries from Asia, Africa, and Latin America that was established to foster economic cooperation and provide input for other international groups.

Iran took over the presidency of the group in 2006 at the 14th Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Havana, Cuba.

The 13th summit of the G15 was held in Havana on September 14, 2006. The 14th summit will be held in Tehran on Monday, May 17.
