Iran-Brazil-Turkey discuss nuclear fuel swap
TEHRAN, May 16 (MNA) -- A trilateral meeting between Iranian, Brazilian, and Turkish foreign ministers was held in Tehran on Sunday morning.
Iran’s nuclear fuel exchange issue was discussed by Brazilian Foreign Minister Celso Amorim, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and their Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki.
Davutoglu arrived in Tehran early Sunday to hold talks with Iranian officials over the nuclear issue.
The trilateral meeting was set to be held between Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Erdogan was very tight schedule to travel to Iran, so the meeting was convened at the ministerial level.
