Iran gas exports to Europe doubles
TEHRAN, May 17 (MNA) – Iran exported 23 million cubic meters of gas daily from the beginning of current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2010) to May 14, deputy oil minister said here on Monday.
“Iran had exported 11 million cubic meters of gas per day during the same period in the previous year,” Javad Owji said.
During the first 55 days of the year Iran has produced over 431 million cubic meters of gas per day.
Some 124.5 million cubic meters of gas have been consumed by the domestic power plants in the mentioned period which shows an 11 percent increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
