TEHRAN HOSTS DAYS OF AZERI CULTURE
Tehran, May 19 (AzerTAc). Days of Azerbaijani culture have been held in the Iranian capital, Tehran, as part of the 18th International Book Fair.
Speaking to the event, Azeri ambassador Javanshir Akhundov thanked the Iranian government for creating conditions for participants of the Book Fair.
Professor of the University of Tehran Bahram Amir Ahmadian spoke of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, saying Armenia still continues to occupy 20 percent of Azerbaijan`s territories.
He said under President Ilham Aliyev`s leadership, Azerbaijan became a new and strategic power in the region.
He also expressed confidence that Azerbaijan would never reconcile itself to the occupation of its territories.
