Serbian, Bolivian ambassadors meet Iranian president
TEHRAN, May 24 (MNA) – The New Serbian and Bolivian ambassadors to Tehran had separate meetings with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday and submitted their credentials.
During his meeting with Serbian Ambassador Alexander Tasic, Ahmadinejad said Non-Aligned Movement has prepared the ground for expansion of ties between Iran and Belgrade.
“We should promote our bilateral and international cooperation and it will benefit the two countries,” he said.
Serbia’s new ambassador described Iran as a major player in the Middle East and an important member of the international community and called for expansion of ties with the Islamic Republic in all areas.
During his meeting with new Bolivian Ambassador to Tehran Miranda Loaisiga, Ahmadinejad said Iran and Bolivia are sided with each other in the international arena.
“Iran and Bolivia are on the same side and seek the establishment of a just global system which guarantees equality, peace and amity in the world,” he said.
The Bolivian ambassador, for his part, said his country attaches high importance to its ties with Iran and seeks to deepen its relationship with the country.
