Algerian Islamic thinker praises convening of World Conference
Algiers, July 13, SPA -- The Algerian professor, parliamentarian and Islamic thinker and former director of the Institute of training imams of the Ministry of Religious Affairs La Khadar Buserarah praised on Sunday the pioneering role of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in promoting dialogue and establishing a principle ofcoexistence between peoples.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency here, Buserarah expressed hope that the World Conference on Dialogue to be held Wednesday in Madridwill attain success in promoting inter-faith dialogue.
He stressed that dialogue between the followers of all religions and civilizations has become a necessity of life among different peoplesand a means of convergence and acquaintance.
Algiers He noted that the dialogue with others is a virtue called by the Quran and pursued by the Prophet (peace be upon him) in his life with others, adding that the dialogue has been a cause for the spread of Islam throughout the land, and a factor in embracing of this divinereligion by many who were ignorant of the truth of Islam.
Professor Buserarah stressed that the contemporary world is in dire need more than ever for the dialogue as a viable and effective tool in resolving existing problems and addressing the intractable crisesof human history.
He said "Dialogue has always been behind defusing many crises, wars and achieving peaceful coexistence not only between individuals butbetween opposing and divergent peoples".
Professor Buserarah said that positive impacts of the dialogue is not confined to the field of international relations, but extends to the areas of reforming the family and society and combating various forms of vice and corruption. All these have a direct impact on the stability of individuals, groups and communities."
