TEHRAN, May 29 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki visited Bulgaria on Friday to attend the Black Sea Economic Cooperation’s (BSEC) Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers meeting.
On the sidelines of the summit, Mottaki held two-hour talks with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolay Mladenov in Sofia.
During the meeting, Mottaki stated that the current commercial transactions between the two countries were not on par with the existing bilateral diplomatic ties, and called for expansion of cooperation in all areas.
He also said that Iran and Bulgaria enjoy a special parliamentary diplomacy.
Nikolay Mladenov pointed out the two countries have a long history of diplomatic relations and called for expansion of ties on all fronts, particularly in commerce, tourism, and energy sectors.
The Bulgarian foreign minister also said the Tehran nuclear declaration was a great step towards finding a logical solution for the nuclear issue.
