PUNGKAS' BODY TO ARRIVE IN JAKARTA FRIDAY
New York, July 15 (ANTARA) - The body of Indonesian mountain climber Pungkas Tri Baruno is expected to arrive in Jakarta on Friday, Indonesian consulate spokesman in San Fransisco Okto Dorinus Manik has said.
Pungkas' body was evacuated from an altitude of 5,242 meters of the slope of Mt McKinley in Alaska to a base camp at the foot of the highest mountain in North America last Thursday.
Okto said the body of the Tunas Indonesia expedition team member of the Indonesian Scout Movement would be flown from Anchorage, Alaska, on Wednesday July 16 and arrive in Jakarta on July 18 or Friday afternoon.
"The process of all documents is expected to finish on Tuesday so that the body can be flown to Jakarta on Wednesday," Okta said when contacted on Monday evening.
He said Pungkas body would be flown on a China Airlines jet in the company of the Tunas Indonesia expedition team members Hartman Nugraha, Zulfa Ahyar, and Gusti Kurnia Bayu Tresna.
