Iran's first overseas FTZ office to open in India

TEHRAN, June 1 (MNA) – The secretary of Iranian Free-Trade Zones Coordination Council said that Tehran will open its first FTZ office abroad in Mumbai, India.

The council has decided to establish FTZ agencies throughout the world to attract foreign investments, Hamid Baqaei said.

According to Baqaei, Pakistan, Turkey, Russia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Italy, Spain, and Germany are other countries in mind to open FTZ offices.

Baqaei noted that several companies abroad owned by Iranian expatriates in addition to a number of foreign firms have offered to invest in Iranian FTZs.
