Iranian shorts competing in Milan Internet contest

TEHRAN, June 1 (MNA) -- Over 10 Iranian shorts found their way to 2010 I’ve Seen Films Internet Contest with 278 short films from 58 countries competing.

The 2010 edition will be held in Milan (Italy) from September 30 to October 9, while the Internet Contest takes place from the end of May to September 20.

The shot films are now online for the internet audience to watch and vote. The voting process will close on September 26. Users can only watch the shorts and vote on them to choose winners.

I’ve Seen Films was founded by Rutger Hauer with the aim of promoting and uniting filmmakers, offering them new exposure with fresh and innovative platforms of visibility.

The short film determined to be the most successful by the internet audience will be screened during the I’ve Seen Films Festival’s days and the film’s creator will be personally awarded by Rutger Hauer with the Internet Audience ICFILMS Award.

Iranian entries competing in the contest include “Closed Recycle” by Hadi Afshar, “My House Is Cloudy” by Karim Azimi, “Occasion” by Fatemeh Ahmadi, “Once Upon a Time” by Soran Fahim, “Silent City” by Amir Mehran “The Sediment” by Yasaman Sharifmanesh, “Minus” by Kazem Mollaei.

“Goodbye” by Edna Hossein-Arian, “The World That Shines” by Sattar Chamanigol, “Vigil” by Mokhtar Masumian and “Whistling under Water” by Hushmand Varaei are other Iranian entries.

All the authors attending the festival with a competing work will receive an ‘I’ve Seen Films’ Certificate.
