Israel has lost its senses: Iran's president
TEHRAN, June 5 (MNA) – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said late on Thursday that the Zionist regime has “lost control of its mind” as it senselessly targeted a group of human rights activists who were bringing food and medicine to the besieged people in the Gaza Strip.
Ahmadinejad also said the regime’s attack on human rights activists has triggered off a wave of protest around the globe which will continue until the “thought of Zionism” is eradicated.
Addressing a group of foreign guests who have visited Iran to participate in ceremonies marking the 21st demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini, the president said, “Today, the resolution of all global issues are interlinked with the resolution of Palestinian issue.”
“The establishment of peace, justice, freedom, and real equality in the world necessitates a resolution of the Palestinian issue,” Ahmadinejad explained.
The president added that all people across the world are “friends and brothers” and “it is only the Zionists who sow the seeds of hostility in the hearts of nations.”
The president went on to say that Israel is “fully isolated” in the eyes of the world.
He added what Israel is doing is not “from a position of power” rather it is a sign of “weakness”.
“And it seems that this regime is losing its sense in the face of pressure by the international public opinion and has no control over its mind.”
The president also predicted that attempts to break the Gaza siege have just started.
“This is only the beginning.”
In a separate speech at the shrine of Imam Khomeini on Friday, President Ahmadinejad called the attack on activists "barbaric".
"They have lost their self-control and ability to think," Ahmadinejad said.
