247 Iranian MPs thank Leader for his Friday speech
TEHRAN, June 7 (MNA) – 247 lawmakers issued a statement on Sunday thanking the Supreme Leader for his address on Friday during a ceremony commemorating the 21st demise anniversary of the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini.
The Majlis (Parliament) Deputy Speaker Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabi-Fard said the high number of signatories to this statement shows the unity and integrity in the Parliament.
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei told hundreds of thousands of people at Imam Khomeini’s shrine that any person who is supported by the enemies of the Islamic Revolution, including the U.S. and Israel, cannot claim to be a “follower” of Imam Khomeini.
The Leader also said persons are judged based on their current behavior and not their previous positions.
