No reason to weaken Tehran-Beijing ties: Iranian president
TEHRAN, June 12 (MNA) — President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who was visiting Shanghai, China, ruled out on Friday any strain on Tehran-Beijing relations following China’s yes vote for the UN sanctions resolution against Iran on Wednesday.
“Tehran has very good relations with Beijing and there is no reason to weaken our relations with China.
“I said the problem is the United States … certain countries on the Security Council had been subject to pressure and intimidation,” in order to vote in favor of the resolution, Ahmadinejad said on the sidelines of his visit to the Shanghai Expo.
