Iran navy will firmly respond to ship inspections: official
TEHRAN, June 13 (MNA) -- The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy will give a firm response to any threatening move against Iran’s interests, including inspections of Iranian ships in the Persian Gulf, an official has announced.
“Iran has never started a war, but if the United States involves Iran in any unwanted action, the IRGC Navy will stand up to them with full strength and will certainly give a crushing response to them,” Ali Shirazi, the Supreme Leader’s representative in the IRGC Navy, told the Mehr News Agency on Saturday.
Commenting on the latest UN Security Council resolution against Iran, he said, “According to international law, no country can meddle in other countries’ internal affairs.”
“The inspection of Iranian ships would be a complete violation of human rights,” he added.
