No plan to escort Gaza-bound Ships: Iran's commander
TEHRAN, June 15 (MNA) -- The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps has no plan to escort humanitarian aid ships to Gaza, IRGC Deputy Commander Hossein Salami said on Monday.
On June 6th, an official in the IRGC Navy announced that the IRGC Navy was totally prepared to escort Gaza-bound humanitarian aid ships to protect them against possible Israeli attacks.
Elsewhere, Salami added the IRGC is not concerned about the latest sanctions slapped against Iran as the country has experienced various kinds of sanctions since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
Iran has not designed its economy based on interaction with the major powers, thus sanctions would not affect the economic condition of the country to a great extent, the commander noted.
