13 terrorists detained across Iran
TEHRAN, June 15 (MNA) – Thirteen members of a terrorist group have been arrested in Qazvin, Hamedan, Kurdistan and Mazandaran provinces over the past few weeks, the Intelligence Ministry announced late on Sunday.
The ministry said the terrorist group was directly involved in last year’s assassination of Sanandaj Friday prayer leader Mamosta Borhan and the city’s representative to the Assembly of Experts, Mamosta Mohammad Sheikholeslam.
The terrorist group also carried out other crimes as well: its operatives stormed some jewelry shops in Hamedan Province which led to the wounding of some pedestrians, kidnapped and killed an individual in Qorveh city, and killed an individual during a robbery from a jeweler in Zanjan Province, the ministry said in its statement.
The intelligence agents also seized ten bombs and five hundred kilograms of explosives from the group, it added.
