Iran calls for probe into bus crash in Philippines carrying Iranians
TEHRAN, June 28 (MNA) – Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki called on Sunday for an investigation into the crash of a bus carrying Iranian tourists in the Philippines.
In a meeting with the Philippine ambassador to Iran, Mottaki insisted on “an effective investigation” of the bus crash carrying mostly Iranian postgraduate interns from Gullas College and Cebu Doctors University.
The bus plunged into a ravine in the Philippines two weeks ago, killing 21 people and injuring about 30 others.
The Philippine ambassador expressed his condolences over the tragic incident, saying, “I have been pursuing the incident.”
