All should heed Leader’s advice about avoiding divisiveness: MP
TEHRAN, June 28 (MNA) -- Iranian MP Hojjatoleslam Hossein Ebrahimi has said that Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s recent statements were a warning to set aside differences between the administration and the Majlis.
“The recent events, such as the UN Security Council measures against Iran, domestic issues, the failure to suppress sedition, and disagreements between the Majlis and the administration compelled the Supreme Leader to warn against such differences,” Ebrahimi told the Mehr News Agency on Sunday.
Maintaining solidarity is one of the most important national issues, and since the external enemies have united against Iran, Iranians should maintain national cohesion to deal with them, added Ebrahimi, who is a member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he said, “The government must implement the laws ratified by the Majlis, and the Majlis must amend and complete bills and not alter them.”
He also expressed hope that the disagreements between MPs and the administration can be resolved through heeding the Leader’s warnings.
