OPEC, EU to meet today
TEHRAN, June 28 (MNA) – The 7th joint energy meeting between OPEC and EU will start today in Brussels, Belgium.
The Iranian oil minister, who is also vice-chairman of the OPEC conference, Seyyed Masoud Mirkazemi will represent the Islamic republic in the event, ILNA news agency reported.
OPEC and EU officials will review energy policies, short- and long-term developments in the oil and energy markets and the impact of the global economic crisis on investments in the oil industry.
The effect of biofuels on oil refinement, the result of studies in regard to establishing a joint technology center, as well as next year’s schedule will be other items on the agenda in the gathering.
Next year's meeting of OPEC and EU will be held in Vienna and the Iranian oil minister will lead the OPEC delegation.
