Iran's mine industry production up 22%
TEHRAN, July 3 (MNA) -- Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) stated that production of various items in the mine industry had increased in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21) compared to the same period in the last year.
According to a report by IMIDRO, the production of items including steel, copper, aluminium, iron ore, and aluminia powder showed between 5 to 22 percent growth in the time period.
Iron ore production grew 11.7 percent, crude steel 5 percent, copper cathode 6 percent and aluminum 8 percent.
Iran Alumina Company produced approximately 58,000 tons of alumina powder which is 20 percent more than last year and 2 percent more than the company plan.
