A major leap forward in Iran’s industry: Ahmadinejad

TEHRAN, July 3 (MNA)— President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that there has been a major leap forward in Iran’s industry and mines sector and it is rapidly moving ahead.

Talking in a gathering which was held to mark Iran’s achievements in the field of industry and mines, the president stated that the glorious achievements of Iranian industrialists in the area of mine and industries have been very impressive and deserve praise.

Today, Iran’s industrial workers can manufacture various industrial spare parts and products based on the country’s needs, Ahmadinejad noted.

“We proudly believe in the capabilities of our industrialists. Despite many problems they are grappling with, their progress in Iran’s industrial spheres is a source of pride for our nation,” he explained.

Elsewhere, he stated that the plan for distribution of cash subsidies will in no way affect the advancement of industry and mines sectors, and moreover the plan will not reduce production rate.

“I do not buy into the idea that subsidies distribution will reduce our progress, Firstly because I do believe in domestic manufacturers and secondly the mechanism which have been envisaged for increasing production in the country are designed in a way that the bulk of the growth in production costs will be born by the government,” he underlined.
