Iranian oil minister meets Bokhanovsky

TEHRAN, July 4 (MNA) -- Iranian Oil Minister Masoud Mirkazemi met Gas Exporting Countries Forum Secretary-General Leonid Bokhanovsky here on Saturday.

The two officials discussed holding GECF summit in 2011, international strategies for pricing energies, energy supply and demand, and stagnation in the market and its effect on natural gas price and the decrease in natural gas prices.

SHANA news agency quoted Mirkazemi as saying that in the forthcoming gathering of the gas authorities various measures and policies for the continuation of the work of the GECF will be reviewed.

GECF’s secretary general said that final decision on holding GECF summit would be taken during the Doha December meeting noting that a proposal holding the summit was presented for the first time in tenth ministerial meeting of the group in Oran in Algeria early this year.

The 11th Ministerial Meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum is scheduled for December 2010 in Doha, Qatar.
