Iranian plays line up for French festival

TEHRAN, July 5 (MNA) -- Four Iranian plays will be performed during the 64th Avignon Theater Festival, which will be held from July 7 to 27.

The Mute Who Was Dreaming” by director Atila Pesyani, “Revelation on a Silent Party” by Reza Haddad, “The City without the Sky” by Kiumars Moradi, and “6 Minutes and 36 Birthday Cakes” by Siamak Ehsaii will be staged several times at the festival’s Gilgamesh Theater.

Fatemeh Naqavi, Khosro Pesyani, Setareh Pesyani, Naz Shadman of the Bazi Theater Group and Pantea Panahiha, Siamak Ansari, and Omid Sonei of the Sayeh Theater Group will perform in all the plays.

The plays will have English subtitles.

Since its creation by Jean Vilar in 1947, the Avignon Theater Festival has become an international platform for the performing arts, gathering artists and audiences from all around the world.
