Online photo contest on Iranian tourist magnets

TEHRAN, July 5 (MNA) -- An Iranian website is holding an online competition of photos taken of Iranian attractions by tourists.

The website www.persianchrome.ir has been launched by Iran’s Marcopolo E-Tourism Services Company and Iranian and foreign tourists can upload their photos at the website for the competition.

“We also organized the online competitions to encourage tourists to share their experiences during their travels to different regions of Iran,” the company director Amir Sarkandi mentioned in a press release on Sunday.

The theme of the competition will be different regarding the seasons and climate. The photos will be judged by online visitors and they will select the best photos, he added.

“Unfortunately, no eye-catching photos of Iran’s tourist attractions can be found while exploring with search engines like Google,” he lamented.

The website aims to advertise Iranian tourist, cultural, natural, and historical attractions online and introduce Iran to people around the world, Sarkandi concluded.

The website is sponsored by the Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization.
