Shajarian to give concert at Lebanese festival
TEHRAN, July 5 (MNA) -- The living legend of Iran traditional music Mohammadreza Shajarian will give a performance with the Shahnaz ensemble at the Beiteddine Festival in Lebanon.
Conducted by tar virtuoso Majid Derakhshani, the 18-member ensemble will accompany Shajarian during the performance on August 6.
The festival will be held from June 25 to August 6 at Beiteddine Palace in Chouf, Lebanon.
Established in 1984 with local artistic performances, the Beiteddine Festival gradually started having regional and international performances. Over the years it has included classical music, dance, theater, opera, jazz and modern world music performances.
A wide selection of Lebanese and international artists will attend the 25th edition of Beiteddine festival which is one of the most prestigious festivals in the region.
