Leader: Lebanon's Fadlallah was sincere ally of Islamic Republic
TEHRAN, July 6 (MNA) – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a statement on Monday saying Lebanon’s late Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah was a sincere and loyal supporter of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and praised his support for the Lebanese resistance movement against the Israeli invasions.
Fadlallah died in Beirut on Sunday after a long illness.
The Leader said Fadlallah “proved his loyalty to the Islamic Republic system in words and action.” The Leader also said “the Islamic resistance of Lebanon” enjoyed the support of Fadlallah.
The Leader also sent condolence messages to the Lebanese people, particularly Lebanese Shias, and all people with Lebanese origin in Africa and Latin America over the ayatollah’s death.
