Iran showing domestic achievements in South Pars
TEHRAN, July 19 (MNA) -- The first exhibition of domestic companies’ capabilities in South Pars gas field projects kicked off in Tehran on Sunday.
Some 43 firms have participated in the two-day event.
Currently domestic firms provide 32 to 60 percent of the south pars gas field’s equipment.
The South Pars gas field is located on the Persian Gulf. It is the world’s largest gas field, shared between Iran and Qatar.
According to International Energy Agency, the field holds an estimated 50.97 trillion cubic meters (1800 trillion cubic feet) of in-situ gas and some 50 billion barrels of condensates.
