New advanced submarine to join Iran's navy
ISFAHAN, July 20 (MNA) – A new submarine equipped with advanced weapons will be delivered to the Navy within the next few weeks, Iran's Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said on Monday.
The submarine has the advanced technology and can perform efficient military operations, Vahidi noted.
At present no Islamic country is able to manufacture submarines, he said, adding that Iran is among the 10 countries which manufacture submarines.
Asked about the S-300 missile system, “We still plan to pursue the issue through dialogue.”
