Iranian MPs representing Sistan-Baluchestan withdraw resignation

TEHRAN, July 21 (MNA) – Three lawmakers representing Baluchi people in the parliament who had resigned from their post in protest to the terrorist attack in Zahedan have withdrawn their resignations, Majlis Deputy Speaker Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabi Fard announced on Tuesday.

Hossein-Ali Shahriari and Peyman Forouzesh, who represent Zahedan, as well as Abbas-Ali Noura, who represents Zabol, had resigned from their post following the terrorist attack in Zahedan on Thursday.

After Shahriari's speech in Majlis open session, Aboutorabi stated that these MPs withdrew their resignations after some advices.

On Thursday, two bombs were detonated in quick succession in front of the Zahedan Grand Mosque in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan. Twenty-seven people were killed and about 300 others were injured in the incident.

Noura had previously set some conditions to withdraw his resignation including tracking down terrorists in Pakistan.
