Iran beats UAE in Asian Junior Handball Championship
TEHRAN, July 24 (MNA) -- Iran defeated the UAE here in the Asian Men’s Junior Handball Championship on Friday.
In the Group A match held at the Iran Handball Federation Gym, the Persians swept the UAE 40-27 in their opening match. Iran is scheduled to play Bahrain on Tuesday.
The 12th edition of the 2010 Asian Men’s Junior Handball Championship, which is underway in Tehran until August 1, serves as the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2011 Men’s Junior World Handball Championship.
