Nine criminals killed in south Iran: Interior minister

TEHRAN, July 25 (MNA) – Nine criminals have been killed during recent clashes with police officers in southern Iran, Interior Minister Mostafa-Mohammad Najjar said on Saturday.

The police has blocked roads which are used by terrorist groups for traveling in this southern part of the country, Najjar told reporters.

On recent terrorist bomb blasts in Zahedan, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, he said Iran is seriously pursuing the case and the people who had a hand in the incident will be brought to justice soon.

“As we have said before, we know the people behind the incident and we are currently pursuing the case.”

So far, a number of these criminals have been arrested, he added.

On July 15, two suicide bomb attacks in Zahedan claimed 27 lives and left at least 300 people injured.
