‘Iran open to dialogue but not diktats’
TEHRAN, July 26 (MNA) -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has stated that Iran is always open to dialogue, but the Islamic Republic will regard any country that plays along with the United States’ new plot as an enemy.
The United States has devised a new scenario for the Islamic Republic, the president said in Tehran on Sunday.
“War is not necessary to confront the U.S. and its allies. Iran’s culture, policy, and wisdom will bring them down,” he added.
And if any country attacks Iran, “the Iranian nation will cut off its arm,” he stated.
Iran will turn each of the enemies’ threats into an opportunity, he noted.
Ahmadinejad said the United States has tricked Russia and some European countries into opposing Iran, adding that Tehran is always ready to resolve any disputes through dialogue and logic.
But Iran will not capitulate to the unipolar world order spearheaded by the U.S., he stated.
The Iranian president also advised the Western powers to correct their behavior and begin respecting other nations’ rights, saying that is their only option if they want to have a share in the world’s future.
On the issue of Iran’s nuclear program, he said that Iran left the doors of its nuclear facilities open for International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors for years, but all they ever did was display hostility toward the country.
Commenting on the latest UN Security Council resolution against Iran, which authorizes the inspection of Iranian ships, the president said that any inspections of Iranian ships will be immediately reciprocated.
