IOR-ARC Executive Director arrives in Yemen for 10th conference

SANA'A, July 28
(Saba) - Executive Director of the Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional
Cooperation (IOR-ARC)
Murteza Sarmadi arrived on Wednesday in Yemen for the tenth conference of the
association. The conference will take place on 2-5 August in Sana'a.
He said the conference will discuss vital topics including backing the
establishment of the association's regional scientific and technology center,
boosting cooperation
among the member states on economic and investment projects and the topic of setting
up a maritime transport council.
The final plan of the council law had been readied for final approval and the
council goals mainly focus on boosting cooperation among the member states on
fish, sea creatures
and maritime transport, he said.
The ministerial meeting will also discuss the topic of selecting a deputy chair of
the association to replace India that will take over the presidency at the next
session
in it, he added.
