Iran condoles Pakistan over devastating floods
TEHRAN, Aug. 2 (MNA) – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has offered his condolences to the Pakistani government over the devastating floods that recently hit the country.
In a message to his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday, Ahmadinejad expressed condolences to the victims’ families on behalf of Iran and prayed for the souls of those killed in the incident.
Flash floods triggered by torrential rains have claimed about 1,300 lives in Pakistan so far, while over one million people have been affected across the country.
Hundreds have also gone missing as a result of the flood.
