Sanctions has had least effect on Iran’s medical progress
TEHRAN, Aug. 3 (MNA) – Sanctions have had the least effect on the country’s medical progress, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Monday.
Great medical achievements in the recent years have shown that we have turned the sanctions into an opportunity in an effort to gain self-sufficiency in the medical field, Mottaki stated.
The minister added that many people from regional countries come to Iran for medical treatment which has led to a flourishment of medical tourism in the country.
The Foreign Ministry is ready to fully cooperate with the Health Ministry to develop health diplomacy and medical tourism, Mottaki noted.
