Iran reducing scientific ties with U.S., Britain
TEHRAN, Aug. 3 (MNA) – Health Ministry has set some limitations on Iran’s scientific relations with the U.S. and Britain, Health Minister Marzieh Vahid Dastjerdi announced on Monday.
Due to Iran’s minimal relations with the U.S. and Britain as well as the existing animosity, the Health Ministry has set some limitations in scientific fields, Dastjerdi told the Mehr News Agency.
The Iranian students, who want to continue their studies abroad, are not themselves willing to go to these countries, and we are encouraging them to apply for admission to universities in other states, she added.
They can apply to universities in some European countries which have good scientific relations with Iran, the minister noted.
Dastjerdi noted that Iran is concerned that these countries pose a threat to the Iranian students and cited this as one of the reasons to set such limitations.
