Lack of trust important issue in Iran nuclear dispute: German MP
TEHRAN, Aug. 6 (MNA) – A German MP has described lack of trust between the parties involved in Iran’s nuclear dispute as the most important issue.
Rainer Stinner, foreign policy spokesman for the Free Democratic Party in the German parliament, made the remarks in a meeting with Kazem Jalali, the rapporteur of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, in Tehran on Tuesday.
Stinner said that using nuclear technology for peaceful purposes is the alienable right of all nations.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed to crisis in Gaza and said the German parliament has passed a resolution to support the Gaza people.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the region particularly in Afghanistan.
Jalali also said the human rights issue should not be used as a tool for certain countries to pressure nations, which act independently from the West.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Jalali said that parliaments can play an important role in maintaining and expanding comprehensive cooperation between countries.
Jalali added that parliamentary relations between Iran and German have greatly influenced amicable ties between the two nations.
