Tehran photo exhibit spotlights Chinese traditions
TEHRAN, Aug. 8 (MNA) -- Chinese traditions and cultural rituals are scheduled to be highlighted in a photo exhibition, which opens today at the Aasaar Gallery in Tehran.
The photos are mementos of Iranian photographer Masumeh Javadinasab’s latest trip to China. She calls the show “Souvenir of China”.
“The showcase is a memento of my time in the wonderland,” Javadinasab told the Persian service of the Mehr news agency on Saturday.
“It is the outcome of my quick, abrupt, and amazing glimpse at the rituals and traditional ceremonies performed in the modern cities of Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou,” she added.
Members of the Iran-China Friendship Society, the Iranian Photographers Center, and a number of other institutes have been invited to the opening ceremony.
The show runs until August 16 at the gallery located at 27 Fakhr-e Razi St. off Enqelab Ave.
