Two Petchem projects to come on stream late Aug. in Iran
TEHRAN, Aug. 8 (MNA) – Two new Petro-chemical projects will come on stream during the Government Week in late August.
The polystyrene unit in Tabriz Petrochemical Company and the polyethylene unit in Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company will come on stream.
The polystyrene unit in Tabriz Petrochemical Company will produce 54,000 tons annually. The project began 5 years ago and cost $35 million.
The Amir Kabir unit started construction 5 years ago and cost $300 million and will produce 300,000 tons of product a year.
This project was a joint effort made by Italian, South Korean, and Iranian specialists.
