Minister dismisses report Iran spied on Kuwait

TEHRAN, Aug. 10 (MNA) – Tehran denies an alleged report that a number of seven people have been arrested in Kuwait on charges of spying for Iran.

“Whatever is said is a pure fabrication and they (Kuwaiti officials) could not prove any thing in this regard,” Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi told reporters on Sunday.

The minister also dismissed media speculation that the terrorist Jundullah group has expanded its activities in some parts of Iran.

The terrorist group Jundallah has carried out a series of bombings, assassination attempts, and terrorist attacks in Iran.

The group’s ringleader Abdolmalek Rigi was arrested in last February and was hanged in June.

On July 15, Rigi’s men exploded two bombs in a mosque in Zahedan, Systan-Balouchestan Province, killing at least 25 people and injured 125 other.
