Divisive packages sent to teachers and clerics: Iran intelligence minister
TEHRAN, Aug. 11 (MNA) -- Some packages were sent to a number of clerics and teachers and by divisive groups with the aim of promoting improper dress at schools, Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi announced on Monday.
He said the move was carried out in line with the enemies’ soft warfare campaign against Iran.
The packages contained CDs which were sent from fake addresses to some prominent figures in Qom, Moslehi said, adding that the necessary measures have been taken to deal with the issue.
He went on to say that a plan has been drawn up by the Intelligence Ministry to inform Education Ministry officials about such immoral moves.
Over the past 25 years, over 80 centers have been established in Western countries to wage soft war against Iran and about $2 billion has been spent annually on this project, he added.
The enemies spent $17 billion to provoke post-election unrest in Iran, Moslehi noted, and called for increased vigilance in the face of the enemies’ plots.
