More demand for Iran's cars in Africa

TEHRAN, Aug. 15 (MNA) – An economic delegation from different African countries has paid a recent visit to Iran Khodro Company, calling for more exports to the African nations.

Mahboub M. Maalim, the executive secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), stressed on the African market demand, especially Somalia's capacity, for the IKCO products.

"Automotive industry is a good opportunity to improve Tehran-Mogadishu ties," he said. Abdol'azim Sa'dian, the IKCO deputy CEO for exports, said for his part that Samand car is currently produced in Sengal, while the car is being exported to Algeria and Egypt as well.

The governor of Khartoum, Abdel-Rahman Al-Khidir, said on the sidelines of the visit that high quality and reasonable price of Samand enables it to compete with other cars in Sudan market.
