Sahar TV entertains audience with Ramadan special TV series
TEHRAN, Aug. 16 (MNA) -- Sahar, an international Iranian TV channel available on satellite, will entertain non-Persian speaking audiences during Ramadan with an Iranian series dubbed in English.
The English version of Mohammad Hossein Latifi’s “Sahebdelan” is being broadcast during Ramadan this year. The TV series was aired on Channel One of the Islamic Republic of Iran Braodcasting (IRIB) during Ramadan in 2006.
“Sahebdelan” is about an old religious bookbinder who also trades in manuscripts. His points of view on theological issues that differ from those of his granddaughter and his son lead to some interesting events.
Baran Kowsari, Sorayya Qasemi, Mehraneh Mahin-Torabi, Sirus Gorjestani, Borzu Arjmand and Purya Pursorkh star in this TV series.
The TV series “Coma” by Sirus Moqaddam and Qasem Jafari’s “Help Me” also airs for Kurdish audience during Ramadan.
“Coma”, which went on air from IRIB in 2007, narrates the story of a professional neurologist who confronts a dilemma in his life when he becomes a patient. Amin Tarokh, Shirin Bina, Hamed Komeili and Nafiseh Roshan are among the cast.
Qasem Jafari’s TV series “Help me” is the story of men who go into a coma. Two of them come out of their comas and try to compensate for the mistakes of their friends who do not recover.
The Iranian TV series “Prophet Joseph” by Farajollah Salahshur is also being broadcast during the month of Ramadan for French audiences on Sahar.
